Kinesio Tex Classic Tape
Is het eerste in 1973 door Dr. Kenzo Kase ontwikkelde elastische tape. Het tape van toen bestond uit een katoenen stof met daarop een hypo-allergeen en latexvrije lijm, zonder enig motief. Ook bestond er maar 1 kleur namelijk huidskleur. Jaren later kwamen daar de kleuren blauw en roze bij die hun oorsprong in de kleurtherapie kennen. In 1988 tijdens de olympische spelen ontstond er een volgende kleur namelijk zwart. Deze werd door sporters gevraagd omdat zwart warmte beter vasthoud Pas in 2012 ontstond de laatste kleur wit. De kleur wit werd gevraagd in de meer medische hoek en ook voor het dragen onder lichte kleding. Hij gebruikte voor zijn elastische tape de naam Kinesio en deze naam is een geregistreerde merknaam en mag alleen met toestemming van Kinesio Holding gebruikt worden.
Waarom Kinesio Tex Classic Tape gebruiken in plaats van andere elastische tapes?
De kwaliteit van Kinesio Tex classic Tape is van een veel hoger niveau. Zo wordt de tape in de eigen fabriek geproduceerd en worden deze ook getest. Het gebruikte katoen is van hoogwaardige kwaliteit en dunner als alle andere aanbieders. Zo is de elasticiteit van andere aanbieders vaak te weinig of te veel waardoor de werking ook anders is. Verder gebruiken andere aanbieders vaak te veel lijm met als argument dat het daardoor beter plakt! Men moet echter niet vergeten dat de Tape belangrijk is voor de uitwerking en niet de lijm. Dus hoe dikker de lijm des te slechter is het contact van het tape met de huid!
Dr. Kase heeft meer dan 35 jaar gewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van zijn tapes en deze steeds weer veranderd en verbetert. Ook zijn de Kinesio Taping technieken door hem ontwikkelt maar dan wel in combinatie met het door hem ontwikkelde materiaal. Juist deze combinatie zorgt voor een succesvolle behandeling.
